This resin detail set adds finely cast air intakes to a model of the American Grumman S-2 Tracker carrier anti-submarine aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a standalone airplane model but an accessory that replaces the corresponding parts from the base kit and raises the accuracy of the surface. The parts are cast in quality resin with sharp edges.
The Grumman S-2 Tracker was an American twin-engine carrier aircraft built to find and destroy submarines. It served from the 1950s with the Navy and, thanks to its rugged structure and long endurance, remained in use for several decades, including coastal and firefighting conversions. It was powered by a pair of radial engines housed in nacelles on the wings.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. We recommend a trial fit before gluing so that the intakes line up with the shape of the nacelles.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
