A resin detail part in 1:48 scale from Aires, the Quickboost range. It is not an airplane kit but a set of exhausts that replaces the plastic parts with more exact resin exhausts with hollowed openings. The set is meant to be fitted into the corresponding plastic model.
The Grumman S-2 Tracker, originally designated the S2F, was an American carrier anti-submarine aircraft of the 1950s with a pair of radial engines. It served from the decks of aircraft carriers on patrol and in the hunt for submarines. The exhausts carried the gases away from the radial engines in the nacelles on the wing.
First wash the part to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting block carefully and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Try the seating dry before gluing and adjust the surrounding plastic if needed. Spray the surface to match the rest of the model so that the part blends into the overall finish.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
