About product

MASTER 1:48 SAAB 32 Lansen pitot tubes

The set holds turned metal pitot tubes for a model of the Swedish SAAB 32 Lansen aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of detail replacement parts with which you replace the coarser and more fragile plastic parts. The manufacturer is the Polish company MASTER, a specialist in turned metal barrels, pitots and probes for aircraft models.

The real subject

The SAAB 32 Lansen was a Swedish two-seat transonic aircraft of the 1950s, built in attack, fighter and reconnaissance versions. It served with the Swedish Air Force for several decades. A precise metal pitot tube gives a model a sharp and realistic detail.

Fitting tips

Cut off the original plastic parts, drill a hole in what remains and glue the metal pitots in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is a good idea to degrease the metal before gluing. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the SAAB 32 Lansen in 1:48 scale
  • Fans of Swedish aircraft
  • Modelers who want a strong metal pitot instead of fragile plastic
  • Those who care about the fine details on the nose

This is a metal detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is a set of turned metal pitot tubes with which you improve your own SAAB 32 Lansen kit in 1:48 scale.

It is an airspeed sensor. The metal version is finer and more durable than the thin plastic molding, which bends easily.

You cut off the plastic part, drill a hole and glue the metal tube in with super glue. We recommend a more experienced hand.
