The scale matches 1:48 models and the set does not contain the base kit. The conversion suits anyone who already has one trainer built at home.
The Saab 105 had two side-by-side places for the crew and the space behind them could be fitted with further seats. The Swedish Air Force therefore used the machine not only for training but also to move people quickly between bases. The cockpit in this layout looks different from the trainer version, which is clearly visible under a slid-back canopy. It is exactly this versatility that is the reason the machine served so long and in so many roles.
The conversion reaches into the inside of the fuselage, so dry-fit the position of the parts before gluing and count on a small adjustment of the mating surfaces. Finish the interior before you close the fuselage. Separate a lighter tone of the seats from a darker floor and suggest the seat belts with a fine brush. A dry brush on the edges will draw the shape out and a thin coat of matte varnish will finally bring up the small details. To be safe, keep checking that the canopy still closes.
The set is an accessory; the base model has to be had separately.
