Colored photo-etched parts Eduard 1:48 SBD-3 Dauntless for sharpening the cockpit and the interior of this American dive bomber. A modeling accessory, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched parts from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale for raising the detail of the plastic kit of the Douglas SBD-3 Dauntless dive bomber. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory sharpening above all the cockpit and the interior. The parts pre-printed in color are ready to be glued on, while the supplementary brass photo-etched parts are painted up.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless was an American carrier-based dive bomber that played a key part in the Battle of Midway in 1942. Its perforated dive brakes on the trailing edges of the wings, which slowed the machine in a diving attack, were characteristic. The SBD-3 version was among the most widely used in the early years of the war in the Pacific.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife and glued with super glue. The colored instrument panels and belts only need forming and gluing on, while we recommend degreasing the bare brass parts and spraying them with a primer before gluing. Tweezers and a photo-etch bending tool help.
This is a modeling accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
