Big Ed brings together in one package all the photo-etched sets and masks for a model of the American SBD-3 Dauntless dive bomber in 1:48 scale that are also sold separately. The manufacturer is the Czech firm Eduard. It gives the model a complete upgrade in a single box.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless was a key American carrier dive bomber of the Second World War, famous above all for its decisive role in the Battle of Midway. It was marked by perforated dive brakes and by a reliability that matched its name.
The package typically includes a colored photo-etched interior set, further photo-etched parts (for example the dive brakes and exterior details) and a set of masks for the glazing and the wheels. Glue the colored photo-etched parts with super glue; the masks make clean spraying of the canopy frames easier. Working with photo-etched parts calls for patience and a sharp tool.
