This is the basic (BASIC) photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Hauler in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but a photo-etched accessory intended for building a plastic model of the Sd.Kfz.222 armored car. The set replaces or supplements selected plastic parts with thin, sharply rendered metal items that plastic alone cannot capture faithfully. The fret is cut for the Tamiya and ICM kits.
The Sd.Kfz.222 (leichter Panzerspähwagen) was a German light armored reconnaissance car of the Second World War. It was a four-wheel-drive vehicle, lightly armored, and in its open-topped turret it carried a 20 mm automatic cannon and a machine gun. It was used mainly for fast reconnaissance and liaison.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in a bender or against a ruler. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with two-part epoxy. Before painting we recommend spraying the whole model with a primer for better adhesion.
This is a photo-etched accessory, not a complete model. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
