A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks for the plastic model of the Supermarine Seafire Mk.15 carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for painting, not a kit: the masks cover the canopy glazing, and possibly the wheels, so that after spraying the transparent surfaces stay clean and the frames sharp.

The real subject

The Supermarine Seafire was the carrier version of the Spitfire fighter, adapted for operations from aircraft carriers. The Mk.15 variant was among the late versions with a more powerful engine and was used by the British Fleet Air Arm after the Second World War. The characteristic sliding canopy offers a rewarding place for sharp masking.

Use

• Transfer the mask from the sheet, stick it onto the frame of the glazing and press it against a clean edge.
• We recommend spraying the color of the inner frames first and the final camouflage afterwards.
• Once the paint has dried, remove the masks carefully.
• The material follows the rounded shapes of the canopy well.
