A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape for the model of the SH-3 / S-61 Sea King helicopter type in 1:48 scale. The masks make clean spraying of the frames of the glazed cabin and of the wheel discs easier, without laborious cutting. It is not a kit: it is an accessory used while painting a finished or part-built model.
The Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King (S-61 in civil designation) is an American multi-purpose helicopter with two turboshaft engines and a boat-shaped lower fuselage, which allowed it to land on water. It was used above all for antisubmarine warfare, search and rescue and transport. It served with a number of navies around the world.
The pre-cut self-adhesive kabuki masks are stuck onto the cabin glazing and the wheel discs, pressed into the engraved frame lines with a pointed stick and then the area is sprayed. Once the paint has dried, the tape is lifted off and the framing stays clean and sharp. An airbrush gives an even coat; the masks can also be used for two-color camouflage masking.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
