Responsibility details are not available.
The kit represents the British Sopwith F.1 Camel fighter biplane with the Bentley BR.1 rotary engine in 1:48 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model from Eduard in the ProfiPACK edition, which adds photo-etched parts, painting masks and decals for several marking options to the plastic. The ProfiPACK edition thus offers a richly equipped package for a detailed build with no need to buy accessories separately.
The Sopwith Camel was among the most successful British fighters of the First World War. It was famous for its agility, which came from the gyroscopic moment of the rotary engine, and it was credited with a high number of victories. The version with the Bentley BR.1 engine represented one of the power plant variants of this iconic machine.
Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic and cyanoacrylate on the photo-etched parts. A biplane calls for patience when rigging and tensioning the bracing wires; using the painting masks makes clean painting of the transparent parts easier. Period fabric-covering schemes come out well when painted with an airbrush, with the wing ribs lightly picked out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
