Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale serves to spray spiral patterns onto the propeller spinner of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in the A and F series versions. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The set offers spirals in several forms, so you can choose the pattern that matches a particular machine.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the most significant German fighters of the Second World War. The A series was the fighter version powered by a radial engine, while the F series was the ground-attack form for supporting ground units. A white or colored spiral on the propeller spinner was a common recognition marking on these aircraft, and as the propeller turned it created a striking optical effect.
First spray the spinner with the base color of the spiral and let it dry. Lift the mask off the backing and wind it carefully onto the spinner so that it adheres without creases. Then spray over it with the second color. Because of the rounded shape, lay the paint on in thin layers so that it does not creep under the edge of the mask. Once dry, peel the mask off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
