Eduard Brassin Spitfire Mk.XVI top cowl 1:48 is a resin detail set, an accessory for models of the Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter. It is not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the Brassin range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory for completing a larger kit: a one-piece top engine cowl for the British Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter in 1:48 scale. The package contains the resin part and a decal sheet. Always check compatibility with your base model.
The Spitfire Mk.XVI was powered by a Packard Merlin engine, which the shape of the bulges on the upper cowling reflects. The one-piece resin casting replaces the split plastic parts from the box without any need to fill seams and with more sharply defined transitions. The set is intended for Spitfire Mk.XVI models.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block with a saw and clean up the surface for a perfect seat on the fuselage. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit dry before painting. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is a detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
