Spitfire Mk.V six-stacks exhausts fishtail 1:48 is a resin detail set from Eduard - replacement exhausts of the fishtail type with six stacks per side for models of the Spitfire Mk.V.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the plastic exhaust stacks on a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V fighter with more faithful resin parts. The six-stacks variant has six separate outlets on each side and ends in the shape of a fishtail. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory.
The Spitfire Mk.V was the most widespread variant of this British fighter, with a Rolls-Royce Merlin 45/50 engine. The shape and number of exhaust outlets differed between individual machines and production batches; the fishtail ending damped the flame and was common in the middle phase of production.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut them off the casting block and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The exhausts take shades of burnt steel and rust well, ideally finished with a fine patina and a dry brush. They are usually fitted only after the fuselage has been painted.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
