This plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard captures the Supermarine Spitfire in the Mk.Vc version. The ProfiPACK edition adds color photo-etched elements, painting masks and decals for several marking options to the plastic parts, so you can take the model to a high level of detail straight out of the box.
The Spitfire Mk.Vc was set apart by the so-called universal C type wing, which allowed different armament configurations. The Mk.V version was among the most numerous Spitfires of the Second World War and served on many fronts, from western Europe through the Mediterranean to North Africa, often with dust filters for desert conditions.
Paint the cockpit with its color photo-etch and seat it before you close up the fuselage. The masks included will give sharp canopy frames. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic, unify the surface with a base coat and apply the camouflage with an airbrush. The decals settle better on a smooth gloss coat; refine the final weathering with fine washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
