An injection-molded plastic kit of the British fighter aircraft Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XIVc in 1:48 scale from the Academy brand. The model has an engraved panel structure, a clear canopy and waterslide decals. It is a late version of the Spitfire with the powerful Griffon engine.
The Spitfire Mk.XIV was one of the highest performing fighters of the Spitfire line. Compared with the earlier versions with the Merlin engine it received a more powerful Rolls-Royce Griffon engine with a five-blade propeller, a longer nose and revised vertical tail surfaces. It was used at the end of the Second World War as a fighter and also against aircraft and V-1 flying bombs.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints carefully. Apply the British three-tone camouflage with an airbrush, use a gloss clear coat before the decals and even out the surface with a matte varnish at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
