A resin camera set for the Spitfire PRU 1:48 from the manufacturer Brengun. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for a conversion to the photo-reconnaissance version of the Spitfire.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Brengun intended to equip a model of the Spitfire in the photo-reconnaissance PRU version in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory for more advanced modelers. The set adds the reconnaissance camera equipment that a standard kit does not contain and raises the fidelity of a conversion to the PRU variant.
Photo-reconnaissance Spitfires (Photo Reconnaissance Unit) served during the Second World War for unarmed reconnaissance at great altitudes. In place of armament they carried camera equipment and often enlarged tanks for long range. A characteristic feature of these machines were the oblique as well as vertical cameras placed in the fuselage.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut the casting blocks off carefully and glue with cyanoacrylate. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Set the parts into the fuselage of the base model according to the instructions and add the glazing or the camera openings. Previous experience of working with resin is recommended.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
