A fret of photo-etched structural elements for aircraft models in 1:48 scale, the ver.1 variant. It serves for completing the internal structure of an airframe.
Responsibility details are not available.
The inside of an aircraft airframe is full of bulkheads, ribs and stiffeners with lightening holes under the skin. Wherever one can look into a model, that is in the cockpit area, in the landing gear bays, in exposed parts of the fuselage or on a model in a state of repair, this structure is visible and plastic manages it only coarsely. Thin photo-etched metal is the natural material for it.
Photo-etched structural elements for models in 1:48 scale, the variant designated ver.1. They are building parts for completing a model, not a set for one particular type of airplane, so you choose from them according to what you need on your model. The exact composition of the fret is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface; do not break them out. Hold the small elements with tweezers as you do so, so that they do not fly off. Make the bends in a bending tool or over the edge of a ruler and form them gradually. Layering two elements on top of each other gives the structure a depth that one part alone will not give. Make the joints with super glue in small drops. Before painting, wash the metal, degrease it and spray it with a base coat for metal surfaces, or the paint will crack.
For modelers who complete details themselves and are looking for a ready-made basis instead of bending wire and cutting sheet. They also come in useful in a diorama with wreckage or a machine under construction. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
