Metallic Details 1:48 Su-11 Panels is a masking set aimed at the airframe panels of a model of the Sukhoi Su-11 in 1:48 scale, that is, at the areas that differ in shade from the finish around them. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting. Intended for the Trumpeter kit.

A set of masking stencils for a model of the Sukhoi Su-11. It is not an airplane model, nor is it an ordinary set for the cockpit glazing: this item deals with the panels, that is, the areas that on the real machine have a different shade from the skin around them and that are hard to lay out freehand on a model. The stencil is applied to a surface that is already sprayed and dry, oversprayed in a different shade, and once it is lifted off the panel is left with a sharp, even outline. The same procedure is used for dielectric covers and anti-glare panels.
The stencils are cut to the shape of the parts of the Trumpeter kit. If you are looking for masks for the canopy, that is a different item: this set deals with the airframe, not the glass.
The Sukhoi Su-11 is a single-seat interceptor of the turn of the 1950s and 1960s, derived from the Su-9. It has a delta wing, a circular nose air intake with a movable center cone and a single turbojet with an afterburner. The airframe mostly carried a metal finish accompanied by several differently colored covers and panels, and those are what matter for the final credibility of a model.
Let the base coat cure thoroughly: a mask does not stick to soft, still fresh paint, and lifting it off would tear the paint away. Take the stencil off with tweezers, lay it on and press it down with a soft stick from the middle toward the edges, pressing the edges carefully. Cover the surroundings with masking tape; trim any excess with a sharp scalpel on a cutting mat, not directly on the model. Spray more very thin coats and hold the gun perpendicular to the mask: an angled spray drives paint under the edge. Lift the mask off before the top coat has fully cured, pulling it back over itself at an acute angle. You then unify the whole model with a thin coat of varnish, which softens the edge slightly.
The set contains masking stencils only. The base Trumpeter kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
