Turned metal pitot tubes, Su-15 (Flagon) Pitot Tubes, in 1:48 scale from Master. An accurate detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Polish maker Master contains precisely turned metal pitot tubes (airspeed sensors) for models of the Soviet Su-15 Flagon fighter in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail accessory that replaces the fragile and inaccurate plastic parts from the original kit with solid and faithful metal parts, with optional variants for different versions of the aircraft.
The Sukhoi Su-15 Flagon was a Soviet supersonic interceptor of the Cold War deployed to defend the airspace. Its characteristic forward pitot boom is one of the prominent recognition features, and on a model it often looks unsatisfactory when it is made of plastic.
Cut off the original plastic sensor and drill a hole for seating the metal part as the instructions say. Glue the metal tubes with cyanoacrylate. The parts are solid and straight, which is appreciated above all on thin protruding elements. Before painting, roughen the metal lightly or use a primer for better adhesion.
This is a supplementary set of turned metal parts, not a model of an aircraft. The base kit is not included in the package.
