An accessory set of electronic equipment for a Su-25 aircraft kit in 1:48 scale. The parts are glued with super glue; their placement is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Su-25 is a Soviet ground-attack aircraft intended for the direct support of ground units. Its designers put the emphasis on resistance to fire from the ground, so it has a heavily protected cockpit and a sturdy airframe. The equipment housed in the instrument bays of the fuselage tends to be reachable during maintenance once the panels are folded open, which makes a rewarding subject on a model.
This accessory set in 1:48 scale is aimed at the electronic equipment of the aircraft. It makes it possible to model the spaces an injection-molded kit usually leaves closed. The exact make-up, the part numbers and the extent of the work on the plastic parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with it.
The parts are not polystyrene and are joined with super glue or epoxy. Cut the excess material and the production marks away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the surface. Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let them dry. It is practical to paint the small equipment blocks separately and fit them once they are dry, because otherwise you will struggle to reach the corners.
The set suits modelers who want to build the aircraft with the panels open and show it in a state of maintenance. Bear in mind that opening the panels means working on the plastic. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
