According to the name it contains the engine section and the spine cover of the fuselage, that is two areas that are clearly visible on a finished model and tend to be simplified in a basic kit. Resin holds sharp edges and fine surface structures, so the set brings a detail that is difficult to achieve with injected plastic in this scale.
The Su-25 is a twin-engine subsonic ground-attack aircraft intended for the support of ground units from low altitudes. It is built robustly, with a straight wing, a heavily protected cockpit and the engines at the sides of the fuselage, which gives it a characteristic angular silhouette. It is precisely the sides of the fuselage with the engine nacelles and the spine area behind the cockpit that belong among the places where the difference between simplified plastic and detailed resin is best apparent on a model.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a detergent, as residues of the mold release agent would otherwise prevent the paint from adhering. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the surface by wet sanding with protection for your airways. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Because the set replaces parts of the fuselage, count on having to cut the corresponding plastic part off and to fit the mating surfaces. Always try the procedure dry first and only then cut. Apply a primer before painting, which will show up any bubbles and unevenness.
This is a resin accessory to a model, not a kit of the aircraft. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
