Su-27 1:48 is a decal set from Eduard intended for the model of this Soviet and Russian fighter - a sheet on its own, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is a decal sheet in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard of Obrnice near Most, not an aircraft kit. It belongs among the decals for aircraft, so it is an accessory for a model you build from a kit of different origin. A bare name with no subtitle is the usual convention in this Eduard decal range: the individual sheets are told apart by their part number, not by a description in the name. The exact contents of the sheet therefore cannot be read from the name, and it is worth checking whether it covers what you need for your model.
The Sukhoi Su-27 is a twin-engine heavyweight fighter developed in the Soviet Union and brought into service in the 1980s. It is marked out by the blended wing-fuselage junction, a pair of vertical tails and a long range without external tanks. An extensive family of derived types grew out of the original version, two-seat and carrier-based versions included, and the machine entered service with a number of states. For modelers it is a rewarding subject above all because of the large surface on which decals and technical stencils stand out strongly.
The surface under the decals must be gloss, otherwise silvered edges appear. Cut the markings out close, dip them in lukewarm water only briefly and let them rest until the backing starts to slide. On large areas and with larger markings it helps to put a drop of water under the decal so that it can still be moved into the right position. Settle them into the engraved lines with a decal softener and press the surplus liquid out with a cotton bud. Once everything is thoroughly dry, give the model a clear coat, and only then apply the final level of sheen.
This is a decal set, not an aircraft kit. The model, paints and a decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
