A detailed resin set from the Aires brand in 1:48 scale for improving the cockpit of a plastic kit of the Su-27 Flanker B fighter. It contains finely cast cockpit parts, including the instrument panel, the side consoles and the ejection seat. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the original cockpit from the kit.
The Su-27 (NATO code Flanker) is a Soviet and later Russian twin-engine heavy fighter intended for air superiority. It stands out for its large size, high agility and long range. The cockpit of the single-seat Flanker B version is laid out around a conventional analog instrument panel with an ejection seat.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue and separate them from the casting blocks. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. A dry fit into the fuselage before painting is worth doing. The cockpit is usually in the characteristic turquoise blue-green shade; bring out the details with a dry brush and a wash.
