Su-27K Sea Flanker with the Kh-41 Moskit, ADVANCED kabuki masks, 1:48 are pre-cut New Ware masking parts for the Minibase kit. The middle level of the range covers more than BASIC.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut kabuki masks for a 1:48 model of the carrier-borne Su-27K from the manufacturer Minibase. The addition in the name points to the release of the kit with the Kh-41 Moskit anti-ship guided missile. ADVANCED is the middle of the three levels in which New Ware runs the set, with BASIC below it and EXPERT above it. The level sets the range of masking. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory to one.
The Su-27K is the carrier-borne variant of the Su-27, later designated Su-33. Against the land-based version it has folding wings and tailplanes, a pair of canard foreplanes, strengthened landing gear, an arrestor hook and a retractable probe for in-flight refueling. It was meant to operate from an aircraft carrier with a ski-jump ramp. The Kh-41 Moskit, known in its naval version as the P-270, is a heavy anti-ship guided missile.
The parts are die-cut on a carrier film. Lift them with the tip of a scalpel or with tweezers, transfer them to a clean, degreased surface and press the edges down carefully with a toothpick. Spray in thin coats and at lower pressure so that the paint does not run under the edge. On the cockpit glazing lay the interior color first, then the outer shade. Lift the mask off shortly after it has dried, while the paint is flexible, with a pull at an angle to the surface. With a wider range of masking, think the order of the colors through in advance so that the same area does not have to be covered twice.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. The aircraft model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
