This detail set in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand is not a stand-alone model, but an addition for refining a build of the Su-34 Fullback combat aircraft. It holds resin chaff and flare dispensers, that is, the equipment for releasing chaff and flares, cast with finer detail than injection-molded plastic allows.
The Su-34 Fullback is a Russian two-seat tactical bomber derived from the design of the Su-27 family of fighters. It is meant for strike missions and carries extensive self-protection equipment, among which the chaff and flare dispensers belong. They are placed at various points on the fuselage and the booms.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fine openings and edges show at their best after painting and light toning with a wash. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
