A resin detail set from the Brassin line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory, with which you will replace the landing gear wheels of the plastic kit of the Sukhoi Su-34 ground-attack aircraft. The resin castings bring a finer tread pattern of the tires as well as more worked-out hubs than injection-molded plastic usually offers.
The Sukhoi Su-34 is a Russian two-seat supersonic fighter-bomber coming out of the design of the Su-27 family. It is marked out by a flattened front end with the crew seated side by side and by a sturdy landing gear fitted for operation at a high takeoff weight. Stronger tires and hubs are among the visually striking elements on a model.
Wash the parts clean of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). If the wheels are cast with a suggestion of load, mind the correct turn of the contact surface toward the ground during the fitting. Paint them separately from the aircraft; the tires can be brought out with a dark wash and a light dusting with pigments.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
