Responsibility details are not available.
This set holds precise self-adhesive New Ware painting masks for a model of the Soviet interceptor Sukhoi Su-9 in 1:48 scale. This is not a model but an aid which eases a clean spray of the canopy glazing and further elements. The masks are laser-cut out of fine washi (rice paper) tape, they copy the shapes of the canopy frames precisely and, once the paint has been applied, they come off with no adhesive residue.
The Sukhoi Su-9, Fishpot in the NATO code, was a Soviet single-engine interceptor with a delta wing from the end of the fifties. It was designed for intercepting high-altitude targets and formed the backbone of Soviet air defense. Its slender body with a circular nose intake and a triangular wing is characteristic.
First coat the glazing with the color of the interior of the frames, then with the outer color. Transfer the masks carefully, press them down along the frames and lift them off once dry. The inner surfaces of the glazing stay clean and transparent. The masks are single-use.
These are painting masks, not a model. The paints, the kit and glue are not included in the package.
