The darker member of the pair of grays, Lifecolor Eagle Grey FS 36176, holds the upper surfaces in a modern scheme and forms only an inconspicuous difference against its lighter neighbor.
Responsibility details are not available.
A richer gray shade from the Lifecolor acrylic range, completed in the name by the number of the American Federal Standard FS 36176. It belongs to the grays that two-tone finishes of modern fighter aircraft rest on: the darker tone carries the spine and the upper surfaces, the lighter one passes downward along the sides.
A scheme built on two close grays is built differently from a classic camouflage. The difference between the fields is small, so the cleanness of the transition and the evenness of both coats decide the result. It pays to lay down a continuous lighter area first, let it dry and only then follow on with the darker tone. If the shades are applied the other way round, the darker ground shows through and the light fields look dirty.
What has proved itself
Modelers of modern jet aircraft and everyone who builds a palette for a low-visibility scheme and wants the neighboring grays to come from the same range and to correspond to one another.
An acrylic paint for modeling use. Work in a ventilated area and keep it out of the reach of children.
