A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from Japanese paper tape (kabuki) for the plastic model of the Soviet Su-7 jet attack aircraft in the BKL or BMK version in 1:48 scale, from the Czech manufacturer New Ware. It is neither a model nor a paint but a set of masks for spraying the glazing and the details cleanly. The EXPERT level is the most complete one: besides the outer canopy masks it also covers the inside of the glazing and the sealing frames, masks for the wheels, for the clear parts and elements for masking the camouflage.
The Su-7 was a Soviet single-seat jet attack aircraft with a swept wing that formed the basis of the later family of Sukhoi types. It stood out for its high speed and rugged structure, but also for its heavy fuel consumption and its demands on runway length. The BKL version was adapted for operation from unpaved surfaces, while the export BMK served with foreign users. Under the NATO reporting name the type was known as Fitter.
The masks are cut from a tape that adapts to curved surfaces and leaves no sticky marks when peeled off. Degrease and dry the surface before sticking them down, move the parts with tweezers and press them against the edges of the frames. Cover the remaining area with scraps of tape or with liquid mask. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and peel the masks off before the finish dries completely.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model and not paint. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
