The wheels matter especially on the BKL: this version received different landing gear from the rest of the Su-7 family, so wheels from the basic set do not fit it. The Sukhoi Su-7BKL is a late strike version of the Soviet supersonic Su-7 fighter-bomber, known in the West under the reporting name Fitter-A. It was created so that the machine could operate from unpaved and poorer surfaces. It received wider, lower-pressure tires, and retractable skis that could be lowered below the level of the wheels were added to the main wheels; because of the stronger landing gear the gear bays had to be modified as well. The equipment also included takeoff assist rockets and a twin brake parachute. Thanks to them the BKL differs from the other Su-7s at first glance precisely in its landing gear.
