This SPACE range set combines color 3D decals with photo-etched steel parts and serves to detail the cockpit of a model of the late version of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc in 1:48 scale quickly and faithfully. It contains pre-printed 3D decals of the main and side instrument panels and of the controls, plus steel etchings with seat belts and small details. It is an accessory, not an aircraft model.

The real subject

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was a high-performance version of this legendary British fighter, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine with a two-stage supercharger. The late Mk.IXc form with the c-type wing was flown by a number of Allied squadrons in the second half of the war. The richly subdivided cockpit is one of the favorite places for detailing.
