Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XIV exhaust stacks 1:48 from Eduard. A resin set of exhaust stacks for a more faithful engine area on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Czech maker Eduard replaces the exhaust stacks of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XIV fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The castings have hollowed openings and a fine surface, with which they easily outdo the plastic parts of the base model, and they are among the most effective small improvements to a Spitfire.
The Spitfire Mk.XIV was markedly reworked against the earlier versions around the powerful Rolls-Royce Griffon twelve-cylinder. The Griffon had a different, more robust arrangement of exhaust stacks than the earlier Merlin engines, so faithful exhausts are a characteristic and clearly visible detail on this version.
Wash the parts free of release agent, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up with your breathing protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the exhausts with a transition of shades of rust, burnt steel and soot, and add the final effects with pigments. Apply a thin primer before painting.
This is a resin accessory, not a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
