It is not a kit of an aircraft but a store that is hung under the fuselage or the wing of a model of a combat aircraft. The SUU-23 is an American external pod with a 20 mm rotary cannon, an ammunition supply and its own drive. It was used on aircraft that had no built-in cannon or where the fire against ground targets needed strengthening. The pod has a cylindrical shape with a characteristic muzzle at the front and vent openings along the sides.
A store is visible from every side, so any trace of a parting line stands out on it. It therefore pays to sand and polish the surface carefully before the primer. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent so that the mold release agent is removed, cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The metal parts of the muzzle come alive if you shade them with a darker tone and add light edge highlighting. Hang the pod on the model at the very end, so that it is not broken off during handling.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
