An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat jet trainer Lockheed T-33A in 1:48 scale from Academy. The model offers a detailed cockpit, an optionally open canopy and flaps and decals for several user countries. It is a complete kit of the whole aircraft.
The Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star came about on the basis of the first American combat jet fighter, the P-80. Lengthening the fuselage for a second seat turned it into a trainer, which became one of the most widespread jet trainers in the world. It first flew at the end of the 1940s and served in many air forces for decades, training pilots and carrying out support tasks.
Bond the parts with liquid cement for plastic, fill the joints and sand them down. Work up and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage. For a polished metal look to the airframe, an airbrush and metallic shades over a smoothly finished base work well; when moving on to the decals, use a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
