About product

T-38 Talon landing gear doors 1:48 (Quickboost)

A resin accessory for a kit holding precisely cast landing gear doors for the T-38 Talon in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft model but a refining set replacing the simpler parts with a crisper detail.

The real subject

The Northrop T-38 Talon is an American supersonic trainer from the early 1960s. Its slender twin-engine design served for advanced pilot training and it still flies in a number of countries today. The thin landing gear doors are a characteristic detail of the machine.

Usage tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand the thin doors carefully and protect your airways. We recommend a filler primer before painting.

Who the accessory is for

  • modelers building the T-38 Talon in 1:48 scale
  • anyone interested in a faithful detail of the landing gear
  • more experienced modelers used to resin
  • collectors of trainers and jet aircraft

This is an accessory for a kit. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
