A resin correct engine cowling for the Ta 152C in 1:48 scale from Quickboost — an exact detail accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin casting of the correct engine cowling for the German Focke-Wulf Ta 152C fighter in 1:48 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but an exact replacement part for experienced modelers that will replace the inaccurately shaped or simplified part from the kit with a faithful casting with the correct cowling outlines. The engine cowling has a decisive effect on the silhouette of the nose, so refining it markedly improves the overall impression a model makes.
The Ta 152 was the peak of the Focke-Wulf line derived from the Fw 190 fighter; the C version was designed for low and medium altitudes and was powered by the liquid-cooled DB 603 inverted V12, which gave the nose its characteristic shape. The engine cowling therefore differs from that of other versions and rendering it faithfully is the key to the correct silhouette. The accessory is meant to refine an existing Ta 152C model in the same scale.
Wash the resin part in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release. Cut off the casting block with a sharp knife or a fine saw and sand the mating surface; protect your airways while sanding resin. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Try the fit against the fuselage dry before gluing, level any transitions with putty and repaint the area in the surrounding shade.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
