A colored relief 3D decal of the interior of the two-seat TF-104G Starfighter trainer in 1:48 scale from Quinta Studio. It is not an aircraft model but a cockpit detail accessory meant for the Hasegawa plastic kit. The parts are printed in several layers, so they have three-dimensional relief and do not look flat like classic decals.
The TF-104G was the two-seat training version of the supersonic Lockheed F-104 Starfighter fighter with its characteristic thin trapezoidal wing. It served to train the pilots of a number of European and overseas air forces that operated the Starfighter.
The set replaces the instrument panels, the side consoles and other features of both cockpits. The 3D decals are activated in water like ordinary decals and transferred onto the parts of the kit; a decal softener and a setting solution do not belong with them, as they attack the printed resin. They are easier to work with than photo-etched or resin interiors. At the end it is worth unifying the surface with a matte varnish.
This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for completing one. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
