A detail cockpit set for the two-seat trainer version of the Lockheed TF-104G Starfighter in 1:48 scale from Aires. The resin accessory replaces the interior of the tandem cockpit from a plastic kit with a faithfully detailed assembly: two cockpit tubs, instrument panels, side consoles, seats and the controls.
The TF-104G was the two-seat trainer version of the supersonic Starfighter with tandem cockpits. It was derived from the F-104G version and served to train pilots. Typical was the slim fuselage with short straight wings adapted for high speeds.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding. Both cockpits come into their own once painted and the details picked out gently with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
