The set brings instrument panels, side consoles, controls and other cockpit details 3D-printed and color-printed on decal paper. It is complemented by 3D-printed resin parts. This is the smaller version of the set, that is, a selection of the key interior parts instead of the complete fit-out of the cockpit. The result is three-dimensional, with legible dials and switches that ordinary decals or hand painting cannot match.
The Panavia Tornado Gr.1 is the British strike variant of a two-seat combat aircraft with variable-geometry wings developed by a European consortium. It entered service in the early 1980s and was intended above all for all-weather attacks on ground targets at low level. The two-seat cockpit with stations for the pilot and the navigator is therefore clearly visible on the model and worth dressing up.
The parts are cut from the sheet with a sharp scalpel and soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds; they have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on gloss clear coat. The surface underneath must be smooth, degreased and preferably painted a dark shade sealed with gloss clear coat so that any gaps do not show. Slide the panel into place the first time and settle it with a soft brush; do not use a decal softener or a setter. Wash the resin parts free of uncured print resin first and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The set is made for one particular plastic Tornado kit in 1:48 scale, so check before buying that you are building the matching boxing.
