1:48 Ukraine Flag is a blue and yellow large-format base intended for models in 1:48 scale.

A base with the Ukrainian national flag on an acrylic board 3 millimeters thick. An area of 410 x 270 millimeters and a weight of around 410 grams allow a more sizeable machine to be placed on it and a crew or equipment added beside it. The rigid board will not bend even under a model that has metal landing gear or weight in its forward part.
The two-color banner with a blue stripe at the top and a yellow one at the bottom returned among the state symbols in 1991, when the country restored its independence. The most widespread reading sees in it a blue sky above a ripe field of grain, that is the two images Ukraine has long been described by. A simple drawing without insignia or lettering is ideal for a base, because it does not compete with the model for attention. It stays legible even in a shot taken from a sharp angle, where more complicated graphics would be lost.
It offers itself under machines of the Ukrainian Air Force, that is supersonic fighters of the Soviet design school and ground-attack aircraft, and just as well under modern unmanned vehicles or ground hardware. The large format will also manage a helicopter, with which it is however necessary to reckon with the rotor blades reaching past the edge. Smaller subjects on the other hand leave a free strip at the sides suitable for a label.
