1:48 U.S. M20 photo-etched interior set is an accessory for a plastic kit of the American M20 armored car you have already bought, not a model in its own right. It sharpens up the inside of the fighting compartment, which on this vehicle can be seen into from above. Target kit: Tamiya.

The set completes the Tamiya plastic kit of the American M20 armored car in 1:48 scale. It is aimed where the plastic moldings are necessarily simplified: at the inside of the open body. Photo-etched metal makes it possible to produce thin bulkheads, consoles, brackets and other small items in a thickness matching reality, and even in places a mold could not reach at all.
The M20 came about from the M8 reconnaissance armored car by leaving out the turret. Over the fighting compartment an open space was left with a ring mount, so the crew and the internal fittings were visible from outside. That is exactly why it pays to deal with the interior on an M20 model - unlike closed vehicles, where all the work disappears once the hull is glued together.
Assemble and paint the interior before you close the body up; after that you will not get inside. The proven order is a base coat, a light interior shade, a dark wash into the corners and angles, drybrushing of the edges and finally small color accents on the instruments and the equipment. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue applied on the tip of a piece of wire, so that any excess does not spread over a painted area. Keep trying the assembly dry - a part that fits badly cannot be put right once the body is closed. In the end you do not have to dust the inside, but a light hint of pigment near the floor looks natural.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The Tamiya base kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
