About product

US torpedo Mk.13 1:48 - Eduard

The set brings a faithfully rendered American Mk.13 aerial torpedo of the Second World War period in 1:48 scale. It is a resin detail accessory supplemented with photo-etch, used to arm American-built torpedo and carrier aircraft with a convincing replica of their main weapon.

What the set offers

The package contains three torpedoes with different warheads and tail sections, which reflect the development of the Mk.13 during the war. Photo-etched stabilizers and resin propellers complete the detail. It is intended for models of American torpedo aircraft in this scale.

Usage tips

Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and bend the photo-etch over an edge. It is worth unifying the torpedo with a coat of primer and weathering it lightly.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building American torpedo aircraft
  • Builders with experience of resin and photo-etch
  • Collectors of naval aviation subjects

This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
