A set of waterslide decals from the British maker Xtradecal in 1:48 scale. It offers several color schemes for models of the McDonnell F-4D Phantom II and the reconnaissance RF-4C Phantom II operated by the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) from British bases. It is the second part of the subject. Meant for the plastic kits of these types available in this scale.
The McDonnell F-4 Phantom II was one of the most important combat aircraft of the Cold War. The F-4D fighter-bomber and the RF-4C reconnaissance version served with USAFE units stationed in Great Britain. The machines of the first generations carried prominent wing and squadron markings, and in later years they went over to subdued European camouflage finishes. The set concentrates precisely on the markings of aircraft from English bases.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss clear coat so that no matte rim appears around the markings. Soak the element, move it into place, blot the water off and settle it with softener so that it also sits on the broken surfaces and on the engraving. Once dry, go over it with varnish to the gloss level you want.
This is a stand-alone set of decals, not a kit. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
