Responsibility details are not available.
A printed set that replaces the nose part of the fuselage of a model of the de Havilland Vampire jet aircraft. The scale matches 1:48 models. It is a replacement part for a build, not a complete kit of the aircraft. It means work on a finished fuselage, so plan the job in advance.
The Vampire belonged to the first generation of jet fighters and you recognize it by the short fuselage nacelle with two tail booms. In Sweden it served under the designation J 28; in Britain and in other countries it flew as a fighter and as a trainer. Many versions were built and they differ from one another precisely in the shape and the equipment of the front section. The twin-boom layout with a short nacelle was dictated by the modest power of the first jet engines at the time.
The replacement section calls for cutting the original plastic part off, so mark the place of the cut carefully first and work in small steps. Fill the joint with filler and wet sand it. Finish and paint the inside of the cockpit before you close the section, because afterwards you will not reach it. Make the cut along the production seam if the kit offers one; the joint then hides better. It pays to sand only once the filler has fully cured.
Obtain the base model, the glue and the paints separately.
