An extensive resin accessory set from the Czech maker Black Dog for improving a model of the S-3 Viking carrier-based aircraft in 1:48 scale. The big set is the most comprehensive version in the line and usually brings several areas of the aircraft together in one box. The set is NOT an airplane model but a collection of accessories with which you replace and supplement the basic plastic parts.
The S-3 Viking was an American carrier-based anti-submarine aircraft powered by a pair of jet engines. It served with the US Navy for patrol work and for action against submarines, and later also for aerial refueling and reconnaissance. It was known for its long endurance and for its ability to operate from aircraft carriers.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit against the model before gluing. A light accent along the panel lines and a restrained patina suit the naval finish well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The airplane model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
