1:48 Vought F4U-1 Corsair catapult hooks

A resin set of replacement catapult hooks from the Czech manufacturer Quickboost (Aires) for models of the Vought F4U-1 Corsair carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The fine castings replace the factory parts with a truer and thinner rendering and add an authentic carrier aircraft feature to a model.

Use

  • Replacing the plastic catapult hooks with more accurate resin parts.
  • Raising the credibility of the underside of a carrier Corsair.
  • Suitable for models in carrier configuration and for carrier deck dioramas.

Work procedure

  • Separate the hooks from the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces.
  • Wash off any remains of mold release agent.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); paint according to the scheme of the particular machine.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as resin parts. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
