This set holds fully colored 3D relief decals of the pilot seat belts in 1:48 scale for models of the Vought F4U-4 and F4U-5 Corsair fighters. These are neither ordinary flat decals nor photo-etched parts, but micro-printed parts with three-dimensional relief, which imitate the woven webbing, the buckles and the fittings of the belts faithfully. The set from the British maker Kits-World takes its place in the cockpit at once and does away with the laborious painting of tiny details.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier-based fighter with a distinctive cranked inverted gull wing. The late F4U-4 and F4U-5 versions were among the most powerful piston-engined fighters and saw combat above all in the Korean War. The colors of the belts match the interior of these late variants.
