This item is neither a kit nor an aircraft model; it is a detail accessory for the cockpit. The set of 3D decals completed by 3D printed resin parts from Quinta Studio takes the place of painting and photo-etched interior parts for the British Westland Lysander liaison and observation aircraft in the Mk.III version in 1:48 scale. It is shaped for the plastic Lysander kit from Airfix.
A 3D decal brings a decal together with 3D printing: it has real thickness and raised relief, so the instruments, levers and switches genuinely stand proud and cast a shadow. The piece comes finished in color. This set adds small 3D printed resin parts for three-dimensional cockpit detail as well.
The Westland Lysander was a British strut-braced high-wing monoplane with outstanding slow flying qualities; the Mk.III version became known for night liaison flights to the resistance. A separate version of the set serves the earlier Mk.I, so do not mix them up.
Remove the molded suggestion of the instruments from the plastic. Wash the resin parts to remove uncured resin residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; seat the decals with a slower drying glue. The glazed cockpit of the Lysander is large, so the interior is clearly visible from the outside.
This is a detail accessory for modelers, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
