A detail set of the radial engine and the cowling for a plastic kit of the British liaison and observation aircraft Westland Lysander Mk.III in 1:48 scale from SBS Model. The set is a combination of resin parts and fine photo-etched metal features and contains the engine, the cowling and the exhausts. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces and improves the engine section of the base kit. The set is intended for Lysander kits in this scale.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. Form the photo-etched metal parts on a bender. Glue everything with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spray the engine with an airbrush and pick the cylinders and the pushrods out with a wash and a dry brush so that the detail shows.
This is not a model but a detail accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
