This is NOT a standalone helicopter model but an extensive resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Black Dog. The big set brings together several groups of parts for the exterior and the equipment of a model of the Merlin HC.3B transport helicopter. It is intended for models of the Merlin helicopter.
The Westland Merlin HC.3B is a transport helicopter of three-engine layout derived from the AW101 platform. It serves to carry troops and cargo and to support units; the HC.3 and HC.3B versions were operated by the British armed forces. A sturdy airframe and a roomy cabin are characteristic of this type.
First wash the large number of resin parts in lukewarm soapy water on account of the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sort the parts out in advance; paint the interior and the small parts in groups before the final assembly.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
